Create your own rocket ship and be ready to explore! There’s going to be a lot of adventures that await. Are you ready?
In this activity, you will have to prepare the following materials: cardboard, stapler, aluminum foil, scissors, coloring pens, tape, colored papers, yarn and needle.
All set? Let’s dive in! For the first step, cut a rectangular shape out of the cardboard— decide on how big the rocket should be. Roll the cardboard to make a cylinder and attach it using a stapler. This serves as the body of the rocket ship.
After making the cylinder shape, we are going to make a cone shape out of the remaining cardboard. Cut a triangular shape and turn it into a cone, secure it by stapling its ends. With both of the figures made, attach the cone onto the cylinder using a tape.
Now to make it more secure, you will need to ask your parents to sew them together. Grab a yarn and thread the cone and cylinder together carefully— make sure not to overdo this as the cardboard may somewhat be fragile.
For the next step, cover everything using aluminum foil. Prepare your doors, windows, or anything you want to attach to the rocket. Stick them in the rocket in your desired design.
To make the rocket stunning, grab the colored papers and cut equal strips from it. Using glue, stick it on the ends of the rocket. If you want to make it more secure, use a stapler.
Lastly, create the wings for your rocket. Cut 2 wing figured shapes from the cardboard and cover it with a foil. Attach it on the rocket on each side.
Are you ready to take off? Three… two… one… blast off!
