At Happy Camper Live, we believe every day is a chance for fun and adventure! Whether you’re outside soaking up the sunshine or indoors on a rainy afternoon, games are the perfect way to get kids moving, thinking, and giggling.
Who says a race has to be serious? Add a twist by making kids crab-walk, hop like frogs, or balance a spoon on their nose. Set up cones or markers, and let the goofy competition begin!
What you need: Open space, creativity, and optional props like cones, spoons, or hats.
Crank up the tunes and show off your best moves! But when the music stops—FREEZE! If you wiggle, you’re out (or just do a silly consequence like 5 jumping jacks). Perfect for indoor or outdoor play.
What you need: Music player and a killer playlist.
Water Balloon TossIdeal for a warm day, this game combines teamwork, timing, and just a splash of chaos. Pairs toss a water balloon back and forth, stepping farther apart with each successful catch. The last pair with an un-popped balloon wins!
What you need: Water balloons and towels for drying off.
Turn a walk in the park into a wild expedition. Create a list of natural items to find—like a feather, a pinecone, or something red. Great for getting kids to slow down and explore the outdoors.
What you need: Printed list, pencil, and a sense of adventure.
You don’t need an actual campfire for this one (but it’s a bonus if you do!). Act out animals, camp activities, or even your favorite snacks—without using words! It’s a hilarious way to wind down after a long day of play.
What you need: Slips of paper with charade prompts and some dramatic flair.
Obstacle Course ChallengeUse hula hoops, jump ropes, cones, chairs, and whatever else you’ve got to create an epic course. Time each camper as they go through and see who can beat the clock!
What you need: Household items or playground gear to build your course.
Write silly questions or challenges on small pieces of paper and stuff them inside balloons before inflating. When it’s time to play, each camper pops a balloon and does the task inside. Great for parties or special camp events!
What you need: Balloons, paper, and pens.
Assign each camper an animal and have them strut their stuff across an imaginary runway. From slithering snakes to stomping elephants, it’s a wild good time!
What you need: Just your imagination!
This classic outdoor game never gets old. Split into two teams, hide the flags, and try to sneak into the opposing team’s territory to grab their flag and bring it home. Strategy, speed, and teamwork are key!
What you need: Two flags (or bandanas) and space to run.
Whether you’re planning a camp activity, a birthday party, or just need a way to burn off extra energy, these fun games for kids are sure to bring on the smiles. Don’t forget to cheer each other on, play fair, and most importantly—have fun!
