Hey campers. I’m Sarah at the arts and crafts studio at Happy Camper Live.Today I’m going to teach you how to make slime. The supplies you will need are: 1. Clear glue and White PVA glue2. Stir stick3. Paint4. Glitter5.Several containers6. Water7. Liquid detergent (or Borax)First, let’s make some slime in a solid color. Pour in some glue to one of your containers. Next, add a lot of water to thin out the glue. After that, stir it up with your stir stick until it has an even consistency. If you think you added too much water, you can add more glue to thicken it. Next, add some paint. If you like glitter, you can add it next. If you don’t want glittery slime, or you don’t have any, you can skip this step. Stir it up again. Now, add in your detergent. This is what makes the slime feel slimy. Careful, you only need a little bit! If you add in too much detergent, your slime will become too hard. Stir it up again until your mixture becomes slimy. If it’s too thin and liquidy, you can add more detergent. Don’t be afraid to stick your hands in there to feel if it’s slimy enough. If you’ve added too much detergent and it’s too hard, you can add water. To make some clear slime with glitter, start by pouring clear glue into a new container. Stir it with your stir stick until it becomes liquidy. If you need to add water to thin it out, you can. Next, add some glitter in as many colors as you want. Stir it up! Once everything is nice and liquidy, add your detergent a little bit at a time. One thing to remember about clear glue is that it reacts quicker to detergent than white glue, so it’s important to only add only a little bit at a time. If you see that the mixture starts to pull away from the sides as you stir, you can use your hands to knead it until it’s fully incorporated. With clear glue, the more you knead, the less detergent you’ll need to add. Finally, for crystal clear glitter slime, put your slime into an air tight container for 2-3 days in the sun. That’s all there is to it!
