Hey campers. I’m Sarah at the arts and crafts studio at Happy Camper Live.Today I’m going to teach you how to make a duct tape bookmark. The supplies you will need are:ScissorsMarkers, various colorsSturdy paperA straight edgeSequinsFeathersGlueDuct tape, two different rolls, different colorsFirst, take your straight edge and lay it against the paper and draw a straight line with a marker as long as you want the bookmark to be. Then draw another line perpendicular from the edge of the first line to complete the bookmark outline. Next, cut out the bookmark along the lines you drew. Now,pull a piece of duct tape long enough to cover the length of both sides of the bookmark. Lay the tape over the full length of the bookmark, then flip it over and cover the other side as well, flattening it out as you go. Don’t worry if the duct tape doesn’t completely cover the ends of the bookmark. You can always cover that with markers or some other decorations. Next, take your second roll of duct tape and pull off a long piece and cut or tear it in half lengthwise. Tape this long piece right down the center of your bookmark, lengthwise. Flip your bookmark over and continue taping down the middle on this side too. Cut off any tape that hangs over. After that, it’s time to decorate. You can add another stripe, or another different color of duct tape. Or you can use your markers to accent the different colors of tape already on your bookmark. Some people like to take color in the edges of the bookmark the same color as the duct tape, so that no more white is shown. You can draw or write on your bookmark, whatever you like. If you want to add some more decorations on it, put two dots of glue in the center of your bookmark, and add feathers onto the glue. Do the same thing with your sequins and then let it dry. That’s all there is to it!
