Hey campers! It’s Jason, the magic counselor here at Happy Camper Live. I’m going to show you how to travel through time using just two playing cards. This is how the trick works: Fold one card in half widthwise, with the face side out. This card is going to act as the portal. The other card is going to be your subject. Fold the subject card, lengthwise, with the face side in. All you do is place the subject card in the middle of the portal card, and as you push it through, it shows the card face in, rather than face out. If you tear them in half you have a card that is completely inside out on both sides.This is how you do it:You’re going to take 1 card and rip it halfway through the middle of the card widthwise. Next, fold that same card lengthwise. After that, fold your second card in half widthwise. With the tear towards you, put the untorn card in between the fold of the torn card, and as you slide it down, you want it to come over the top of the bottom tear. On the other side of the card, the audience cannot see the torn part. Next, open up both cards at the same time, to show the face of the cards. Then, fold it back the opposite way, with face out, the ripped piece has its back folded, so when you push the card through it looks as if it flips itself inside out. Finally, when you rip both cards in half, the audience sees one half with it’s face out, and one half with its back out. You can even give these cards out as a souvenir. That’s how you travel time with two playing cards.
