Hey guys. I’m Larry with Happy Camper Live. I’m your Hip Hop Happy Camper guru. Are you ready to get down? Today I’m going to show you how to Float. Floating is very similar to another dance move called Gliding. The difference is a bouncing up and down motion, as though you are floating in the water. First, your feet need to be turned away from each other. The tricky part about floating is that you have to change the pivots in your feet. You can’t do them both at the same time. Normally, people will do toes, heels, toes, heels, but with Floating you have to do them opposite. Depending on the side you are going to, you point your front toe, then the other heel at the same time, both in the same direction. To the right: Right toe, left heel, then right heel, left toe. To the left: Left toe, right heel, then left heel, right toe. Remember, you’re bouncing up and down just with the movement of your toes and heels, just like floating in the water. You can keep going in one direction, or you can go the right, then back to the left. Or, a lot of people like to do it in a circle. Give it a try! If you mess up, that’s ok.
