Hey campers! It’s Coach Mick from Perseverance Basketball here at Happy Camper Live. Today, we’re going to learn about passing. Passing is an important part of the game. If you want to be a great teammate, you can’t shoot all the shots, you must pass the ball.First let’s learn about the bounce pass. Start with your knees bent, butt down, and chest up. Step forward with one foot, both hands on the ball. Your thumbs should be pointing up until you release the basketball, then they should point down. When you bounce pass, pass it from your chest, not above your head, or down at your knees. Next let’s learn about the chest pass. This is exactly what it sounds like: Passing the ball to your teammate’s chest. Again, start with your knees bent, butt down, and chest up. Step forward with one foot, both hands on the ball. Your thumbs should be pointing up until you release the basketball, then they should point down.Just like with the bounce pass, you want to pass from your chest.That’s passing!
